Maersk Oil, the oil wing of Danish shipping giant AP Moller-Maersk A/S (MAERSK-B.KO), has announced that it can continue with drilling activities in the United States, Gulf of Mexico.

The company can continue with the activities, as a drilling permit has been received for its co-owned Buckskin well, in offshore Louisiana.

The operator of the well, Chevron Corp. (NYSE: CVX), has received a drilling permit from the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement.
