Australia's Macquarie Group (AX: MQG) has said that it has named Thomas Caracciola as head of Macquarie Futures USA Inc.

In the new role, Caracciola will be responsible for the creation and management of an Institutional Client Relationship Management team. With over 26 years of experience, Caracciola was previously with Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) where he served as a vice president in Client Relationship Management since 2005, focussing primarily on top institutional priority clients trading financial futures and options.

Previously, he was a senior vice president for Futures Marketing and Product Development at Greenwich Capital, head of Implementation Strategy at Merrill Lynch Direct Markets' Technology Division, and has been with Financial Futures Options Group at Merrill Lynch (NYSE: BAC) leading the Global Futures Marketing and Clearing Sales team.
