Investment banks have changed their pitch from high salaries to responsibility, diversity and long-term careers, to lure graduates to the industry.

Head of graduate recruitment at Royal Bank of Scotland (LON: RBS), Chris Jackson, said that the earlier approach was that of mass marketing, which was easy to sell.

With British central bank hoping bank salaries will drop to a level closer to doctors and lawyers, recruiters in the sector are being forced to rephrase their sales pitch for jobs.
