Barclays Capital, the wealth unit of Barclays Plc (LSE: BARC), has announced that it has launched an income bond.

The Regular Income Bond is a six-year investment that is linked to the FTSE. Investor's capital would be at risk if the FTSE 100 falls by more than 50 per cent at any time during the term. Else the capital would be repaid in full. For each year, the annual option offered by the bond is 5.6 per cent. They would mature on December 12, 2016.

The offer closes on 26 November 2010.
