Global Banking News - 27 April 2011

Hana Bank, the banking unit of South Korea's Hana Financial Group Inc (086790.SE), is aiming to sell its proposed 5.5-year benchmark- sized dollar bond.

The bond is expected to be priced at a spread of 210 basis points over the comparable US Treasury bond yield. Barclays Capital (LSE: BARC) (NYSE: BCS), Citigroup (NYSE: C), HSBC Holdings Plc (LSE: HSBA) (NYSE: HBC) (HKG: 0005) and Standard Chartered Plc (LSE: STAN) (STD.DE) (OTC: SCBFF) (HKG: 2888) are book-runners for the offering.

The bank delayed the issuance last week, citing market volatility.
