-Hamilton Sundstrand supports Airbus A400M certification.

Hamilton Sundstrand said it is preparing its suite of systems for the Airbus A400M new generation airlifter, including the largest all-composite propeller in production, for entry into service. Hamilton Sundstrand is a subsidiary of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE: UTX).

The company and its subsidiaries supply a range of systems for this multipurpose new-generation airlifter, including the A400M's Auxiliary Power Unit, Secondary Electrical Power Distribution Center, Ram Air Turbine emergency power system, Trimmable Horizontal Stabilizer Actuator, Throttle Control Assembly, Cockpit and Load Master Workstation Lighting.

Hamilton Sundstrand also supplies an eight-bladed 17.5-foot diameter Propeller System, the largest all-composite propeller in production. The Propeller System, which is manufactured by Hamilton Sundstrand subsidiary Ratier-Figeac, received EASA certification on March 22.

The Auxiliary Power Unit provides aircraft start capability to 14,500 feet and auxiliary/electrical power up to 40,000 feet. The APU electronic controller interactively interfaces with the aircraft's maintenance computer. The APU received its Technical Standard Order C77b from the Federal Aviation Administration in April 2011.
