Yahoo!, Inc (NASDAQ: YHOO) is said to be working with Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) to thwart any takeover approaches.

It is believed that legal teams at Yahoo!, Inc have been working with advisors including Goldman Sachs for about two weeks as there is a possible offer from AOL, Inc (NYSE: AOL) and private-equity firms.

In May 2008 the company rejected a USD50bn offer from Microsoft Corp (NASDAQ: MSFT).
