-German Zooplus sees sales growth in Jan-Sep 2011.

20 October 2011 - German online pet food retailer Zooplus (ETR:ZO1) said today that its total sales rose 37% on the year to EUR185m (USD253.4m) in the first nine months of 2011.

Sales from online retail of pet supplies totalled EUR176.4m, an increase of 43% compared to the same period of last year.

Additional operating income of EUR8.6m is included in the total sales.

Zooplus added that its sales in the third quarter advanced by 14% compared to the second quarter.

The new logistics centre of the company would enable it to achieve sales of over EUR400m, Zooplus said.

The firm will publish its final nine-month financial report on 18 November.
