General Motors Corporation (NYSE: GM), a United States-based automaker, is idling its Gunsan, South Korea, factory for nine days this month, Automotive News has reported.

GM is taking this step to better align its Chevrolet inventory with European demand.

The company has not revealed the details regarding how much production will decrease at the Gunsan plant, which has an annual capacity of 260,000 units.
