-General Motors Corporation installs solar array on Adam Opel AG plants in Russelsheim.

General Motors Corporation (NYSE: GM), a United States-based automaker, is installing an 8.15MW solar array on the rooftop of one of its Adam Opel AG plants in Russelsheim, Germany.
The array is one of the largest installations in Europe, with an area equivalent to 32 soccer fields. It will produce up to 7.3 million kWH of energy per annum.
The array is to decrease the plant's CO2 emissions by about 3,150 tons per annum.
