United States-based General Electric Company (NYSE: GE), has agreed to extend its contract with US Ecology, Inc.

The contract has been extended to dispose of sediment removed from the Upper Hudson River in New York State until December 31, 2011.

The firm was one of three vendors that disposed of sediment in 2010.
