FirstEnergy Nuclear Operating Company, a subsidiary of FirstEnergy Corp. (NYSE: FE), has started the construction of a new Emergency Operations Facility in Beaver Falls.

The construction is for the Beaver Valley Power Station.

The facility covers 12,000 square-feet, and will offer improved coordination between the plant, state and local emergency management agencies.
