8 November 2010 - Finnish fibre-based materials maker Ahlstrom Corp (HEL: AHL1V) said today it will increase by 8%-10% the prices of its calender bowl materials worldwide as of 15 November due to growth in raw materials costs, particularly cotton.

The price change will depend on products and concluded agreements. The company will determine specific details with each customer individually.

The calendered bowl materials are used in the paper and textile industry. Ahlstrom produces them at its Altenkirchen plant, Germany, part of the Label and Processing division which runs seven factories in France, Germany, Italy and Brazil.
