-Financial watchdog in Sweden warns against rise in risk weights.
Global Banking News - 22 March 2013
The financial watchdog in Sweden has warned against a proposal from the central bank suggesting an increase in risk weights on mortgage assets.
The governor of Riksbank, Stefan Ingves, said that the government should impose an increase of more than the 15 percent recommended by the regulator.
The head of the FSA, Martin Andersson, however said that he did not see any reason to change the current levels. He also suggested that results of changes be evaluated before making additional modifications.
