Travel Business Review - 24 January 2012
Expedia Inc (NASDAQ: EXPE), a US-based online travel company, has announced its new Last-Minute Deals programme for travellers.
The new segment employs user-generated deals and user-informed travel trends to display near-term travel prices. Expedia Last-Minute Deals will be offering deals found by other site users.
Joe Megibow, the company vice president and general manager, said, 'In a sense, the millions of people who come to Expedia(R) are now serving as your own personal travel agent, helping you find the best and most popular deals from your home city. So many customers travel with Expedia every month that it puts us in a great position to deliver this type of service to our customers. With Last-Minute Deals, you can get the best deals available by letting everyone else do your research for you.'
