BANKING AND CREDIT NEWS-October 4, 2010--DBRS ends stability rating of Gaz Metro(C)2010 M2 COMMUNICATIONS

4 October 2010 - DBRS said Friday it had discontinued the stability rating of Canadian natural gas distributor Gaz Metro LP (TSE:GZM.UN).

The action follows the closing on 30 September 2010, of a deal in which the public ownership of GMLP was reorganised into a new public corporation, Valener Inc, the credit rating agency explained. The analyst added that the rating had been discontinued as after the closing of the transaction, the partnership's units were no longer publicly traded.
