Citigroup Inc (NYSE:C) has announced that it has launched an algorithmic platform in Turkey.

The bank said that it has launched a full suite of algorithmic and direct market access trading products that would offer clients electronic access to the Turkish equities markets. The algorithms were launched on the Istanbul Stock Exchange through Citi Menkul, a wholly owned broking subsidiary of the banking company.

Tim Wildenberg, head of electronic trading, EMEA, said, 'We've combined our comprehensive suite of algorithmic strategies with an unrivalled level of local knowledge and service to help our clients succeed in this exciting market.'
