14 October 2011 - Finnish handling systems provider Cargotec Oyj (HEL:CGCBV) said yesterday it had won a USD160m contract to supply about 1,890 light capability rough terrain forklifts (LCRTF) to the US Army over five years.
Cargotec's customer is the US Department of Defense.
The LCRTF units, to be manufactured by Cargotec's wholly-owned subsidiary Kalmar RT Center in the US state of Texas, are expected to replace the client's existing four to five tonne forklifts.
