CanAlaska Uranium Ltd. (TSX: CVV), a company undertaking uranium exploration in twenty-one uranium projects in Canada's Athabasca Basin, has restarted geophysical fieldwork on its NW Manitoba uranium-REE project.

The company had suspended exploration on the NW Manitoba Project since 2007 because of consultation meetings between the Government of Manitoba and local First Nation communities.

The work has been restarted with the Government's conclusion of a consultation protocol and the recent execution of a memorandum of understanding to facilitate co-operation for exploration and future development between CanAlaska and the Northlands Denesuline community of Lac Brochet.
