CGI Group, Inc (TSX: GIB.A; NYSE: GIB) has announced that it has been selected as a preferred IT vendor by Societe Generale Corporate & Investment Banking (SG CIB) (SOGN.PA).

The three-year agreement would make CGI a preferred global vendor for IT application services, and under the deal it would provide application development and support services using its global delivery centres to SG CIB in Paris, London, New York, Singapore and Hong Kong.

Ian Buchanan, chief information officer at SG CIB, said, 'We are looking forward to further developing our partnership.
