BANKING AND CREDIT NEWS-September 24, 2012--Bank of North Carolina buys Cary, Chapel Hill branches(C)2012 M2 COMMUNICATIONS

24 September 2012 -- North Carolina-based BNC Bancorp's (NASDAQ: BNCN) Bank of North Carolina subsidiary said it closed its purchase of two branches of Gateway Bank & Trust Co. located in Cary and Chapel Hill, North Carolina, which were owned and operated by The Bank of Hampton Roads.

The branches, located on 4725 SW Cary Parkway, in Cary and 504 Meadowmont Village Circle in Chapel Hill North Carolina, will open as Bank ofNorth Carolina branches on Monday, September 24, 2012.

Bank president Richard Callicutt said that adding the Cary and Chapel Hill branches brings his bank to a total of four branches in the North Carolina Research Triangle area.
