Bank of Montreal (TSX: BMO) (NYSE: BMO) (BMO) has announced that it has completed the acquisition of Hong Kong-based Lloyd George Management (LGM).

The acquisition was announced on January 11, 2011.

Gilles Ouellette, president and CEO of Private Client Group, BMO Financial Group, and chairman Bank of Montreal (China) Co Ltd, said, 'We can now offer BMO clients much greater opportunity to capitalize on the growth potential in select global markets while giving LGM clients access to a broad range of BMO products and services. As a highly regarded investment manager based in Hong Kong and specializing in Asian and Global Emerging Markets, LGM complements our established presence in China and enhances BMO's Asia growth strategy.'

The combined firm is to be headed by Robert Lloyd George.
