Avis Rent a Car System LLC, a US-based car rental company, has announced being named as best car rental company in customer loyalty category by the Brand Keys Customer Loyalty Engagement Index.

The annual study to develop Brand Keys Customer Loyalty Engagement Index included customers' relationships with 528 brands in 79 categories. The company has been named as top in the customer loyalty category from opinions generated by 46,000 respondents.

Ronald L Nelson, the company chairman and chief executive officer of Avis Budget Group, the parent company, said 'Customer satisfaction comes when we fulfil a traveller's needs; loyalty is hard-earned and much more difficult to achieve. Loyalty requires an extraordinary effort and that's what makes this award so meaningful to us. This is truly a great honour for Avis employees throughout the country.'
