-Avantair to Offer WiFi Internet Onboard Fleet.
Travel Business Review - 16 April 2012
Avantair Inc (OTCBB: AAIR), a US-based company offering fractional aircraft ownership, leases and flight hour time cards, has announced the launch of new Internet access onboard its fleet of aircraft.
The company fleet of Piaggio Avantis is offering high-speed Internet, and will be Wi-Fi enabled, with installations to be completed within the coming months. The Internet service will be offered by Aircell, a US-based internet service provider.
The company chief executive officer, Steven Santo, said, 'From email to movies and music, so much of people's lives today require Internet connectivity. Business travellers are always looking for opportunities to make the most productive use of their in-flight time. Simply being airborne can no longer be an obstacle to online access and we are pleased to rollout this feature for our customers.'
