American Electric Power, one of the largest electric utilities in the United States, is implementing the new Asset Health Centre solution from ABB to improve the performance and reliability of its electric transmission network.

The solution will be implemented across all AEP transmission substations system-wide.

The Asset Health Centre builds on the AEP-ABB Transmission Technology Alliance, which integrates American Electric Power's operational innovation with ABB's research and development depth to deliver new capabilities to the transmission industry. The Asset Health Centre solution merges equipment-based operational technology from ABB, and enterprise information technology from Ventyx, ABB's industrial enterprise software group, while also leveraging deep operational and diagnostic expertise contributed by American Electric Power.
