6 June 2012 - Alaska Pacific Bancshares Inc said Maxwell S Rule will take the position of board chairman of the bank holding company and Linda C Thomas will serve as his deputy.

The former chairman, William C Corbus, will retain his seat on the company's board.

The company also said all proposals secured shareholder approval at its 2012 annual metering of stockholders held on 22 May.

Rule joined Alaska Pacific Bancshares board of directors in 2008. He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and CFO of three related firms in Sitka, Alaska: Hames Corp, Triple C Ventures Inc and Clearwater Bay Corp.

Thomas is also a certified public accountant and is vice president and COO of Alaskan Brewing Company. She was first elected to Alaska Pacific Bancshares board of directors in 2010.

Alaska Pacific Bank is a locally-owned savings bank based Juneau, Alaska and the sole subsidiary of Alaska Pacific Bancshares. The bank was established in 1935 and serves southeast Alaska via its offices in Juneau, Ketchikan and Sitka.
