22 November 2010 - Norwegian oil-service group Aker Solutions ASA (OSL: AKSO) said Monday it will supply NOK210m mooring and loading systems to Brazil.
Aker Solutions will provide movable Pusnes chain jack mooring systems and hull-mounted Pusnes fairleads for the spread-moored
floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels P58 and P62, under a contract with Brazil's federal oil and gas company Petrobras (SAO: PETR3) (NYSE: PBR). The units will produce oil at the Norte do Parque das Baleias and Roncador fields, respectively.
Another deal, also for Petrobras, covers equipment for an FPSO operating in the Tiro and Sidon fields offshore Brazil. The unit will use the Pusnes offloading system at both aft and bow.
Deliveries are due to take place in 2011.
The group entered the deals via its Aker Pusnes AS unit.
