DICK MONTGOMERY NAMED SENIOR VICE PRESIDENT, EASTERN REGIONAL MANAGER AND NATIONAL CABLE SALES MANAGER FOR PARAMOUNT DOMESTIC TELEVISION
 HOLLYWOOD, Sept. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- Dick Montgomery has been named senior vice president, eastern regional manager and national cable sales manager for the Domestic Television Division of Paramount Pictures, it was announced today. He will report to Joel Berman, executive vice president of the division.
 In his new position, Montgomery will oversee the day-to-day operations of the sales office for syndication covering the eastern region. His additional responsibilities in national cable sales is an acknowledgment of the growing importance that area has in the overall syndication market. He is responsible for relations with all broadcast groups and television advertising representatives in the East. Moreover, he will supervise the sales of Paramount series and features to all basic cable networks. Montgomery will relocate to New York.
 "Dick has been a key contributor to the success of Paramount's syndication sales," Berman said. "His extensive knowledge of our library makes him ideally suited for this position. His broad market experience is a tremendous asset to Paramount's first-run sales."
 Most recently, Montgomery was senior vice president, western regional manager since 1988. Before that he was vice president, mid- western regional manager in 1984-87. He joined the Domestic Television sales division in 1983.
 Montgomery was a sales executive with Multimedia Programming Productions in 1981-83, responsible for the sales of "Donahue" and other programs in the southeast region. From 1978 to 1981, he was with Showbiz Inc., a producer of country music and television programs. He was also part of the sales force at WTVF in Nashville, Tenn., in 1977-78.
 Montgomery holds a bachelor of science degree in communications from the University of Tennessee.
