 MANAGEMENT CHANGES ANNOUNCED AT GANNETT RADIO
 LOS ANGELES, Aug. 21 /PRNewswire/ -- Gerry DeFrancesco, formerly president and general manager of KIIS-FM/AM in Los Angeles, has been named president of Gannett Radio. DeFrancesco replaces Jay Cook, who will become the president and general manager of WUSA-FM/WDAE-AM in Tampa, Fla. Marc Kaye will leave his position as president and general manager of WUSA-FM/WDAE-AM to become president and general manager of KIIS-FM/AM. All three radio stations are owned by Gannett.
 "Gerry DeFrancesco has a very strong background in programming and radio station management. We look forward to his sharing these talents with all the stations," said Cecil Walker, president and chief executive officer of Gannett Broadcasting.
 In his new role, DeFrancesco will oversee the 15 radio stations owned by Gannett. He will continue to be based in Los Angeles and to work closely with KIIS-FM/AM, a station he has been associated with on and off since 1982. DeFrancesco first joined Gannett Radio 12 years ago as program director of KSD-FM in St. Louis. He also served as general manager of WUSA-FM/WDAE-AM.
 Kaye moves to the station's No. 1 radio revenue market as president and general manager of KIIS-FM/AM.

 Kaye's broadcasting background includes sales, management and on- air experience. Kaye began his career in radio in 1973. In 1984, he joined Gannett Broadcasting as general sales manager of KKBQ-FM/AM in Houston.
 Gannett Broadcasting includes Gannett Radio, with 15 stations and Gannett Television with 10. Gannett Radio comprises WGCI-FM/AM (Chicago); KAOI-FM (Dallas); KKBQ-FM/AM (Houston); KCMO-FM/AM (Kansas City); KIIS-FM/AM (Los Angeles); KSD-FM/KUSA-AM (St. Louis); KCLX- FM/KSDO-AM (San Diego); and WUSA-FM/WDAE-AM (Tampa).
 Gannett Broadcasting is a division of Gannett Co. Inc. (NYSE: GCI), which also publishes 82 daily newspapers, including USA TODAY and USA WEEKEND, a newspaper magazine. Gannett also operates the largest outdoor advertising company in North America.
