(GEN) TURKISH HUMANITARIAN AID ARRIVES IN UZBEK PROVINCE.

ANDIJAN, Jun 23, 2010 (TUR) -- A Turkish plane carrying humanitarian aid for Uzbek refugees who fled from ethnic clashes in Kyrgyzstan arrived on Wednesday in the Uzbek province of Andijan.

The humanitarian aid, sent by the Turkish Red Crescent Society, is part of a second dispatch of relief supply by Turkey for 77 thousand Uzbek refugees who took shelter in Andijan after escaping from ethnic violence that killed nearly 100 people in Kyrgyz cities of Jalalabad and Osh.

The aid includes food, blankets, kitchen appliances as well as baby food.

The Turkish Red Crescent Society sent earlier this month 60 tonnes of humanitarian aid to Osh.
