(GEN) TURKEY-AFCAC CIVIL AVIATION COOPERATION AGREEMENT SIGNED.
Ali Ariduru, director-general of Civil Aviation, told the A.A following the signing ceremony, "under the agreement, we will share our aviation-related experiences with 48 member states of the AFCAC with the aim of strengthening air traffic infrastructure of the commission."
Ariduru reminded that a conference took place in Istanbul earlier in the week with the participation of civil aviation representatives of 14 African nations.
"After signing of the agreement, number of flights between Turkey and African countries will increase considerably. Currently, there are 90 flights to 12 African countries in a week," he added.
AFCAC Vice President Jean Kouassi Abonouan said that they wanted to cooperate with Turkey especially on the issues of training, security and maintenance.
