(GEN) TURKEY TO HOST MEETING OF AFRICAN CIVIL AVIATION COMMISSION.

ANKARA, Jun 14, 2009 (TUR) -- Turkey will host the meeting of African Civil Aviation Commission (AFCAC) between June 15 and 19.

Turkish Civil Aviation Directorate General stated on Saturday that more than 15 African countries would attend the meeting which would take place in Istanbul.

Civil aviation authorities as well as sector representatives will attend the meeting too.

AFCAC signed an agreement with Turkey to strengthen air traffic infrastructure and benefit from Turkey's aviation experiences, and held its first meeting in Istanbul in August, 2008.
