(GEN) TURKEY CAREFULLY MONITORS DEVELOPMENTS IN GREECE, PRESIDENT GUL.
Speaking to reporters in Central Anatolian province of Eskisehir, Gul said stability and economic strength of its neighbors would be in the interest of Turkey and the region.
"I believe that Greece will overcome its problems. World economic crisis shook many countries. Fortunately, Turkey is one of the countries that overcome the economic crisis in the shortest time. Turkish economy will again continue to grow next year," Gul said.
Commenting on the discussions whether the constitutional reform bill would be put to referendum as a whole, Gul said, "I will assess the bill if the whole process is concluded in the parliament and brought to me. It is not possible to say anything now."
Referring to escalation of terrorist activities, Gul said, "as you know, terrorist organizations move out of their shelters in spring and summer. We should be in full alert and take measures against terrorist activities. Turkish Armed Forces and security forces take necessary measures. Turkish Republic will never bow to terrorism. It is out of question for Turkey to give up dealing with terrorism."
Gul, who traveled to Eskisehir to attend ceremonies to mark Yunus Emre Culture and Art week, sat at the seat of engine driver of the High Speed Train and operated the train.
