        MSR EXPLORATION LTD. ANNOUNCES CHANGE OF TRANSFER AGENT
    CUT BANK, Mont., Oct. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- MSR Exploration Ltd. (AMEX: MSR) has announced that effective Oct. 1, 1991, it has changed transfer agents.  Its new transfer agents are the National Trust Company of Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada and Mellon Securities Trust Company of Ridgefield, N.J.
    MSR Exploration Ltd. has recently advised the shareholders of Houston Petroleum Company that the transaction whereby 14,546 Houston Petroleum Company shares were exchanged for 1,333,333 newly issued shares of MSR Exploration Ltd. is void.  The 400,000 warrants issued in connection with that transaction have also been voided.  MSR Exploration Ltd. has instructed its transfer agent to cancel all applicable shares and warrants.
    MSR Exploration Ltd. is an independant oil and gas exploration and production company operating in Western Canada, the Northern Rockies and Texas through its wholly-owned U.S. subsidiaries.
    Head offices are in Cut Bank, Mont.  MSR Exploration Ltd. is listed on the American Stock Exchange under the symbol "MSR".
