(ECO) NUMBER OF NEW BUSINESSES ESTABLISHED IN OCTOBER UP 11.16 P.C.
According to figures obtained from the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB), the number of companies that went out of business in October went up 5.48 percent when compared to the previous month.
In October 2010, the number of new businesses established went up 14.06 percent when compared to the same period in 2009.
In October 2010, the number of new sole proprietorships established went up 19.23 percent when compared to the same month in 2009. The number of cooperatives established in October, 2010 went down 9.18 percent when compared to the same period last year.
In October 2010, the number of companies that went out of business dropped 4.23 percent while the number of cooperatives that shut down went down 16.45 percent when compared to the same month last year.
The number of sole proprietorships that went out of business in October 2010 went up 65.35 percent when compared to the same period in 2009.
-COMPANIES WITH FOREIGN PARTNERS-
In October 2010, 216 companies were formed with foreign partners. 46 of such companies had Iranian partners while 26 had German partners.
In the first 10 months of 2010, 2,005 partnerships were established with foreign companies in Turkey. 276 partners came from Iran, 239 from Germany, 124 from Russia and 107 from Azerbaijan.
