(ECO) NORWAY PREFERS IZMIR, AGAIN.

IZMIR, Nov 11, 2010 (TUR) -- Norwegian Ministry of Health has once again chosen the Balcova Thermal Hotel in western province of Izmir after a tender held every four years for the treatment of Norwegian patients.

Speaking to the AA on Thursday, General Manager of the Balcova Thermal Hotel Turabi Celebi said that the Norwegian Ministry of Health had been sending Norwegian patients to their hotel since 1992.

We won the latest tender held by the Norwegian Ministry of Health, a tender that was attended by hotels and facilities from Spain, Croatia, Bulgaria and other countries. We will continue to offer services to 1,200 Norwegians who need our thermal water every year, Celebi said.

Norwegian patients arrive in our hotel between March and November. Aside from Norwegian patients, we also serve patients from Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands and Germany, Celebi said.

Our hotel is preferred by hundreds of patients thanks to our health team of 70 experts. Furthermore, there are not many facilities in Europe that provide physical therapy, rehabilitation and thermal water at the same time, Celebi said.

Turkey is one of the richest countries in the world with its thermal water sources and facilities.
