(DIP)TURKEY AND IRAQ TO CONTINUE JOINT FIGHT AGAINST TERRORISM, ERDOGAN.
ANKARA, Oct 16, 2009 (TUR) -- Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Thursday expressed his belief that Turkey and Iraq would continue joint fight against terrorism."Turkey definitely supports Iraq's unity and territorial integrity without making any discrimination of race, language and religion," Erdogan said while speaking at a joint news conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al-Maliki.
Referring to the importance of fight against PKK terrorist organization threatening Turkey's security, Erdogan said, "we are in agreement with the Central Government so far. Our agreement was not disrupted. I believe this joint fight will continue in the future."
Erdogan underlined the determination to eradicate terrorist organization which was a common trouble to Turkey and Iraq, "we will closely follow implementation of the memoranda of understanding inked within the body of High Level Strategic Cooperation Council."
