In a statement issued on Thursday, the Turkish Presidential Press Center said that the two-day summit will be attended by heads of state from Turkey, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.
The first summit of heads of states of Turkish speaking countries had taken place in Ankara in 1992.
During the Nakhichevan Summit, the leaders will discuss ways to promote cooperation and jointly evaluate bilateral, regional and international issues.
An agreement will be signed in Nakhichevan whereby a Cooperation Council of Turkish Speaking Countries will be established.
The Nakhichevan agreement will also lead to the establishment of several other councils and will create a consultancy mechanism with a Secretariat to be established in Istanbul.
President Gul will hold bilateral talks with the leaders of Turkish speaking countries in Nakhichevan.
