(CUL) TURKISH PIANIST APPEARS IN RECITAL IN VIENNA.

VIENNA, Jan 27, 2010 (TUR) -- Internationally-acclaimed Turkish classical pianist and composer Fazil Say took the stage in a recital in Vienna's Konzerthaus on Tuesday.

Say played pieces by Franz Liszt, Leos Janacek and Sergei Prokofiev for an audience of around eight hundred people.

Say received a standing ovation from the audience who called the Turkish pianist back on for several encores.

Say is set to play in the opening concert at this year's Salzburg Music Festival. Borusan Istanbul Philharmonic will accompany Say under the baton of Sascha Goetzel in the gala concert scheduled for July 25.

Say will interpret W. A. Mozart's Piano Concerto No:12 and make the debut of his work for solo piano and orchestra.
