'Suicide verdict'.

A father of two took his own life the day he was due to leave his partner and his teenage daughters, an inquest has heard. George Wainwright, 41, was found at his home in Aberdore Road, Gabalfa, Cardiff, by his partner on September 5, 2005. Cardiff Coroner's Court heard the sales assistant struggled with depression for years and had made previous suicide attempts.

Gary Wainwright, 51, said depression got hold of his brother while partner Nicola Raisis said: 'He used to say he just wanted out.'

A post mortem examination revealed Mr Wainwright took anti-depressants and alcohol and a verdict of suicide was recorded.
