'Batman rapist' attack.

Detectives tracking a serial rapist said he may have attempted to attack another woman.

A man tried to force his way into a 26-year-old Bristol woman's car in the Lansdown area of Bath.

She was able to drive off before he could get in but the incident bore similarities with up to 17 incidents which have been linked in the Bath area, including a number of rapes.

Police connected the attacks earlier this year under the banner Operation Eagle.

The sex attacker has been dubbed locally the Batman Rapist after it was revealed he dropped a baseball cap at one scene bearing a logo from the hit films.
