`MALLARD,' `ZIPPY' ON THE BALLOT.
Many of you don't like ``Zippy.'' Some say the print is too small, others just don't relate to the ``Zippy'' zeitgeist.
But L.A. Life believes in giving the ol' pinhead one last chance. To that end, ``Zippy'' is history in L.A. Life unless a groundswell of support comes to defend Zerbina, Griffy and Zippy himself. ``Zippy'' fans and foes - now is your chance to be heard.
Moving on ... is ``Mallard Fillmore,'' that right-leaning duck, too political for L.A. Life? Should he stay where he is, or be yanked from the section and sent to the Opinion pages ... or just yanked altogether? Remember - party affiliation doesn't matter ... or does it?
In other comics' news, ``Flight Deck,'' one of the comics readers voted on most recently, will be landing in L.A. Life Sept. 6. Also being added is a new comic strip ``Get Fuzzy,'' a wry portrait of single life with pets.
