`It will never happen to us'.

Business continuity and planning to avoid disasters has never been higher on the agenda, but many companies still believe problems won't affect them.

In the course of dealing with literally thousands of customers over the years, IT experts at TSG have heard more than their fair share of nightmare tales. One company religiously backed up its data every night and maintained a consistent policy of strict rotation of the tapes. Unfortunately they also consistently left the backup tapes on top of the server. Following a burglary staff spent six months re-entering data because of the theft of the server, PCs and of course backup tapes.

Almost immediately after the task was completed the burglars struck again ( taking the tapes with them a second time, since they were still handily stored on top of the server. Perhaps unsurprisingly, this company is no longer in business.

Fortunately, however, many companies have avoided these pitfalls thanks to TSG's System Care service. System Care helps to identify problems within their IT systems before they affect their business, and includes remote performance and service monitoring, ensuring amongst other things that backup procedures are working properly.

TSG has scheduled a series of free system care seminars aimed at exploring the IT issues which affect small and medium-sized businesses, and demonstrating how problems can be managed efficiently.

Forthcoming seminars will be held at TSG's Team Valley regional office, Kingsway North, Team Valley from 10am-Midday on the following dates:

February 17, 21 & 22, March 1, 7, 8, 14, 15, 22, 23 & 24, April 4, 5, 6, 11, 12, 25 & 26.
