[CAN YOU HEAR THIS? CAN YOU HEAR THIS].

Can you hear this? Can you hear this
From where you must certainly be?
They have made me wear a terrible disguise,
The skin of a creature I do not know
Rank with the oils of silences
I have never before encountered.
I tap this out from the other side
Of language where they have me.
It seems useless to try to find
A messenger I can trust, although
They will not mean to lie. Honesty
Does not enter into it. They
Probably will even try
To carry my message by word of mouth
And imitate my speech exactly
(Which they do well) for my sake
And yours. But the voice which shall
Eventually enter your ear
