Creative Interiors Renames RTA LineCreative Interiors is rolling out a new umbrella name for the company's ready-to-assemble home-office and entertainment collections. Called CreativeWorks, the concept represents a new direction for Creative Interiors, a division of Thomasville Furniture.
"To date, functionality has always led the way with new RTA development," said Phil Miller, vice president of Creative Interiors. "CreativeWorks challenges that by starting with a fashion-oriented approach to design development and then marrying the design to function."
The first collection introduced under the CreativeWorks banner is the Series Seven Collection, which includes 25 pieces in a complete range of home-office and complementary entertainment units.
Series Seven units feature brushed stainless-steel hardware and leg accents, framed panel doors and two cherry finishes. Pieces in the collection are priced to retail from $129 to $499 for desk/hutch combinations.
O'Sullivan Shows 4 New Groups
O'Sullivan Industries (space M514, International Home Furnishings Center) is introducing four RTA groups at the High Point market. New to the upper-end Intelligent Designs brand is Skyline, a collection of home-office and entertainment furniture. Pieces are priced to retail between $199 and $599.
Three collections -- Opolis, Centric and Encore -- target lower price points, retailing from $59 to $149. Encore features mixed-media construction of wood and metal.
Bestar Unveils Logo, Web Site
Bestar, a Canadian producer of RTA furniture, comes to High Point armed with a new corporate logo, a new Web site and "one of our largest product introductions in several years," said Charlie Royce, marketing director.
Product introductions at Bestar (M1117, IHFC) range from compact workstations retailing at $69 to full-size units at $399.
Spring Air Enters Mideast Market
Spring Air is expanding its international presence with a move to the Middle Eastern market.
Spring Air-Middle East, located in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, is operated by Towell Mattress & Furniture Industry (TMFI).
Spring Air-Middle East holds the Spring Air licenses for the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Oman, Qatar and Kuwait.
TMFI is a new venture by Oman-based W.J. Towell & Co., a conglomerate involved in several businesses, including automobiles, construction and computers.
