NEWS that a teacher who was hurt in a sledging accident had died left our readers saddened yesterday.

Maryam Najafian, 25, suffered head injuries while having fun in Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow on Sunday afternoon.

Grant Adams tweeted: "A very sad accident. So beautiful as well. RIP."

Lisa Richardson commented: "So sad. A beautiful young girl with her whole life in front of her.

Just why? RIP Maryam. God bless you and your poor fiance and family."

Nikki Polockus " added: "Such sad news she was my child's primary school teacher in David Livingstone Primary. Thoughts and prayers with her family."

Pearl Mclean said: "Another heartbreaking tragedy. I would like to erase all the negative events since November. It has been a terrible time for numerous families.

"Sleep tight, beautiful girl. Thoughts are with all your family and friends."

Isabel Mcewan " said on our Facebook page: "So sad and so young.

Isabella Ferguson added: "So very tragic and sad. Everything to live for."
