?Voided race inquiry looms A TURF CLUB inquiry into the controversial voided race at Killarney last week could be held before the end of this week.

Denis Egan, chief executive of the Turf Club, said yesterday: "We haven't finalised a date to investigate fully what happened at Killarney, but it's possible we'll deal with the matter by the end of the week."

The 1m6f Rentokil Initial Amateur Riders Race was declared void by stewards, who deemed the Henry de Bromhead-trained Stars Over The Sea, who made all and was five lengths clear at the finish, had gained an unfair advantage at the start after being led in.

Roger Brookhouse, owner of Stars Over The Sea, has appealed against the decision to void the race.
