I read that a few of the England players needed to take something to counter the effects of the caffeine tablets they'd taken before their postponed game with Poland in Warsaw on Tuesday night.
When I was Everton manager the players all used to persuade me to tell John Bailey to take a load of tablets the night before a game just to get him to quieten down and go to sleep!
At least Phil Jagielka acquitted himself well when the game was eventually played. He didn't do his chances of succeeding John Terry any harm at all, and came out of the game with some credit.
