/CLARIFICATION -- BEST WESTERN ENTERS SOVIET STATES WITH HOTELS IN RUSSIA, LITHUANIA/

PHOENIX, Nov. 15 /PRNewswire/ -- Best Western International continues its global expansion today with the announcement of its first hotels in Russia and Lithuania. The hotels in the historic cities of St. Petersburg and Moscow, Russia, and Vilnius, Lithuania, join three other Best Western properties currently operating in Estonia as the first entries into the countries of the former Soviet Union.
A previous announcement had indicated that the addition of the hotels in Russia and Lithuania was Best Western's initial entry into the countries of the former Soviet Union. This is not the case. The three hotels in Estonia were Best Western's first affiliates in the former Soviet Union. The addition of properties in Russia and Lithuania mark Best Western's entry into the current nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States.
