 In DC029, Pittsburgh to Become USAir's Number One Connecting Hub


On May 1, moved earlier, we are advised by the corporation of changes to the fourth and following graphs. A corrected version follows:
 PITTSBURGH, March 5 /PRNewswire/ -- USAir and USAir Express will increase service from 482 to 505 daily departures at the Greater Pittsburgh International Airport on May 1, 1992, making Pittsburgh the largest hub on the USAir system. Contributing to the increased number of departures will be the introduction of new nonstop flying from Pittsburgh to Jacksonville, Fla., New Haven, White Plains, and Wichita.
 "Our expansion here illustrates the increasing importance of Pittsburgh and the Northeastern United States to the strength of the USAir system," said Byron Aber, USAir district sales manager in Pittsburgh. "We are looking forward to further expansion when the new Mid-field Terminal opens in October 1992," he added.
 The new flights to Jacksonville will depart daily from Pittsburgh at 2:19 p.m. and arrive at 4:09 p.m. The flight will depart Jacksonville at 7:20 a.m. and arrive here 9:12 a.m.
 Operated with 103-passenger Fokker 100s, the new service to New Haven will depart Pittsburgh at 11:20 a.m., 4:35 p.m. and 9:44 p.m. New arrivals from New Haven will be at 9:13 a.m., 2:43 p.m. and 7:43 p.m.
 New service to White Plains to be operated with Fokker 100s will depart Pittsburgh at 11:25 a.m., 4:35 p.m. and 9:35 p.m. New arrivals from White Plains will be at 8:47 a.m., 2:32 p.m. and 7:42 p.m.
 Two new flights to Wichita will depart daily from Pittsburgh at 3:25 p.m. and 8:50 p.m. Flights will depart Wichita and arrive here at 10:15 a.m. and 8:57 p.m.
 Members of the USAir Frequent Traveler Program will receive double miles on the new Pittsburgh service to Jacksonville, New Haven, White Plains and Wichita through June 30, 1992.
